Vitalant (formerly United Blood Services) is holding a National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day Blood Drive from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020, in the "original" H-E-B parking lot, 3301 Sherwood Way.

A release from Vitalant said, "In light of recent negativity directed toward law enforcement nationally, there is a  need to show law enforcement officers that our citizen recognize the difficult and sometimes impossible career they have chosen in public service to us all."

Donors will receive a T-shirt, plus food coupons from Chick-fil-A and Fuzzy’s Taco Shop.

The day will also serve as a law enforcement appreciation event. All law enforcement personnel who stop by in uniform will receive free hot dogs, chips and drinks.

Appointments are encouraged. To schedule an appointment, call 877-258-4825, code: LEAD; go to bloodhero.com; or download the Vitalant app.
