SAN ANGELO, Texas — Angelo State University's Wind Ensemble will present its first concert of the spring semester, "Shine," Feb. 7 in the ASU Auditorium inside the Mayer Administration Building, 2601 W. Avenue N. The show begins at 7 p.m.

The ensemble is made up of more than 40 ASU students playing several different woodwind, brass and percussion instruments and directed by Dr. Jonathan Alvis, associate professor of music and ASU director of bands.

Female composers and composers of color will be featured in the program, which is open and free to the public.

The Wind Ensemble will perform at different high schools in Abilene and Brownwood Feb. 10-12 during its annual recruiting/performance tour.
