Jack Nelson of the Jack Nelson Band made the quick turn around to the Concho Valley for a special concert this weekend. Nelson talked with Skyler Nichols about life on the road across the western U.S. and compared life out west to life in west-central Texas.
"We decided to brave [the northwest] in the winter time, and we went up there in January and February and we fought -60° weather and snow banks," said Nelson.
Nelson that during his stint up north, he even wrecked a vehicle. Fortunately, he says the band was able to save most of the music equipment. Despite near tragedy, Nelson was able to record a new song with the same great sound fans are used to.
You can hear some of that new music tonight, Fri., Nov. 3 at the Little River Club at 9 p.m. Tickets can be bought at the door.
