SAN ANGELO, Texas — In observance of Juneteenth, Angelo State University will close its campus and cancel all online classes Friday.
According to a press release from ASU, Angie Wright, interim president, said in a letter to the university community, "Tomorrow, we will close to commemorate Juneteenth."
Wright also said classes would be dismissed for the day and only essential personnel would be required to work. Wright encouraged members to take a moment to reflect on the nation's past and present.
Time off for employees will follow ASU human resources guidelines.
