A new way of eating has rolled its way into San Angelo – and one local church is hopping on board!

It came after a trip down to Austin. Ricardo Flores saw how people flocked to food trucks and knew that was something San Angelo needed.

The first “Food Truck Festival” will take place at Lake Bible Church on Saturday, starting at 11 a.m.

Trucks from all over San Angelo and surrounding areas with be there, along with free, family-friendly entertainment.

Flores created the event to reach out to the community.

“We’re using it more as an outreach to say, ‘Hey San Angelo, this is who we are. This is where we are. We want you to come out and visit us, no matter what you believe, what you think. We love you no matter what, so we want you to come see us and visit us,” Flores said.

Flores says he hopes the event will be a success and help the community come together.

The Food Truck Festival goes from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Lake Bible Church parking lot.
