Nineteenth COVID-19-related death reported for Taylor Co. Tuesday

ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Public Health District reported the 19th COVID-19-related death Tuesday. The patient was a man in his 60s with pre-existing conditions.

In addition, the  also reported 17 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 14 PCR cases and three antigen cases.

Additionally, 53 new recoveries and 36 current hospitalizations were reported for Taylor County by the health district.

Taylor County has administered a total of 11,844 PCR tests and 5,826 antigen tests. Of those tests, 1,106 PCR tests have been confirmed cases and 594 antigen tests have been probable cases.

The total number of recoveries as of Aug. 4 is 932, which includes 734 PCR cases and 198 antigen cases.
