San Angelo reports 135 new positive COVID-19 cases Friday

The San Angelo Health Department has released 91 cases and 11 contacts, as of July 29.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The City of San Angelo Public Information Office reported 135 newly-confirmed COVID-19 cases in Friday's daily report. 

In addition to the 24th COVID-19-related death, the City said it received 65 positive PCR tests from two Tom Green nursing homes.

The nursing homes were:

  • Arbor Terrace: 53 positive PCR; 126 negative PCR
  • Regency House: 12 positive PCR; 86 negative PCR

The cases included cases from Tom Green, Irion, Coke, Crockett, Sutton, Coke-Nolan, Howard, Concho, and Runnels counties.

The cases include 116 PCR cases and 19 antigen cases

The City also reported 91 cases and 11 contacts of cases have been released, as of July 29.

There are currently 54 hospitalizations and 144 pending tests between Shannon and San Angelo Community medical centers.

There have been a total of 13,944 tests administered in Tom Green County, as of Friday. Of those tests, 2,310 have been positive cases.
