Saturday’s daily report shows 21 newly-confirmed COVID-19 cases for Taylor Co.

ABILENE, Taylor County — The daily report from the Abilene-Taylor County Public Health District shows 21 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, which are only PCR cases; no antigen cases were reported.

The City of Abilene said Saturday the increase in the total number of antigen tests performed is because an area testing facility submitted testing numbers for July.

Positive testing results were reported by the facility throughout July.

As of July 25, there have been 11,387 PCR tests and 5,014 antigen tests administered in Taylor County. Of those tests, 470 PCR and 470 antigen tests were confirmed cases.

There have been 523 PCR recoveries and 44 antigen recoveries, with 32 current hospitalizations.
