Shannon South to host H-E-B Give a pint - Get a Turkey blood drive

The drive will be held from Nov. 17-19. Appointments are strongly encouraged.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The H-E-B Give a Pint, Get a Turkey blood drive will be held from Tuesday, Nov.17 through Thursday, Nov. 19 at Shannon South, formerly Community Medical Center, 3501 Knickerbocker Road.

According to a Vitalant press release, donors must be at least 16 years old, weigh at least 110 lbs. and healthy. Sixteen-year-old donors must present a minor donor permit signed by a parent or guardian. The form can be found on the Vitalant website.

Donors ages 16-22 years old will also need to meet height and weight requirements.

The hours and locations for the blood drive are:

  • 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 17 in the conference rooms near the chapel
  • 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the bloodmobile admin parking lot near the chapel
  • 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. a the bloodmobile admin parking lot near the chapel

Each donor will get a coupon for a frozen turkey, up to a $25 value courtesy of H-E-B, a long-sleeve holiday T-shirt; and a coupon for Chick Fil A.
