Taylor Co. reports 16th COVID-19-related death Thursday

Nineteen newly-confirmed COVID-19 cases were also reported.

TAYLOR COUNTY, Texas — The Abilene-Taylor County Public Health District reported the county's 16th COVID-19-related death Thursday afternoon. The patient was a man in his 60s with underlying health conditions.

The health district also reported 19 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, with five probable cases and 38 current hospitalizations.

There have been 11,664 PCR tests and 5,435 antigen tests administered in Taylor County, with 1,068 of PCR tests being confirmed cases.

The total number of recoveries is 738, which include 626 PCR cases and 112 antigen cases.
