ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District confirmed two additional COVID-19-related deaths Friday afternoon, increasing the total number of deaths to 43.
The patients were a woman in her 80s with pre-existing health conditions; and a woman in her 70s with pre-existing health conditions.
The health district also reported 22 new confirmed COVID-19 cases - 12 PCR and 10 antigen.
Additionally, 22 new recoveries were reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,163.
Twenty current hospitalizations were reported.
There have been 13,993 PCR and 1,0490 antigen tests administered in Taylor County. Of those tests, there were 1,398 positive PCR and 1,217 positive antigen cases.
There were also 12,595 negative PCR and 9,273 negative antigen cases reported.
