ABILENE, Texas — The Abilene Police Department will host an award and promotion ceremony at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22 at the police department, 4565 S. First St.
According to an APD press release, two officers will be officially promoted to sergeant and three people will receive Life Saving awards.
The officers who will be officially promoted and assigned as supervisors within the patrol division are:
Sgt. Johnathan Ramirez - began his career in 2006
Sgt. Chris Milliorn - began his career in 2012.
People receiving Life Saving Awards are:
School nurse, Jennifer Hoffman - for saving the life of a 12-year-old Abilene ISD student Oct. 6.
Texas Tech nursing student, Grant Gamble - for saving the life of a 12-year-old Abilene ISD student Oct. 6.
Officer Matt Armbruster - for saving the life of an infant who was in a vehicle crash that left him unresponsive March 11.
