BALLINGER, Texas — The City of Ballinger issued a notice Thursday evening urging residents to put in place conservative water protection efforts as soon as possible.

According to a City update, the water plant is currently delivering a larger volume of water than typical for this time of day, which suggests a water loss somewhere in the distribution system.

The City asks that any visible leaks be reported and properties checked completely to make sure there are not any burst pipes inside or under the building on the customer side.

Many leaks were found by City employees and residents of Ballinger also notified the City of leaks throughout the day.

Residents are urged to limit water drips to just a drip when protecting their property.
