SAN ANGELO, Texas — The City of San Angelo announced Friday operations to its animal shelter will change temporarily beginning Monday, Jan. 11.
According to a City press release, because of quarantining protocols and procedures in its animal shelter operations will change until further notice.
The changes to operations include:
- The shelter will no longer be taking in cats during this time with the exception of sick, injured or neonatal.
- Dogs will only be accepted from 1 p.m.-6 p.m.
- Field services are only responding to emergency calls which include:
- Bite investigations
- Cruelty investigations
- Aggressive dog at large
- Estray livestock.
The City will notify residents once shelter operations return to normal.
