SAN ANGELO, Texas — The Family Shelter, a San Angelo non-profit organization is asking for the public's help in filling eight Thanksgiving boxes for the people it serves.
The shelter serves Tom Green County, as well as 14 surrounding counties and has two outreach coordinators who meet with victims and their children on a daily basis.
All victims that receive services from the shelter do not have to reside there to receive services. They are considered active non-residents and are eligible to receive the same services that victims and her/his children would receive living at the shelter.
With Thanksgiving fast approaching, the shelter is in need of eight Thanksgiving boxes, consisting of a basic Thanksgiving dinner or whatever anyone would like to donate.
Here are items needed:
3. Green beans
4. Potatoes/sweet potatoes
6. Items for dressing
10. Macaroni and cheese
