SAN ANGELO, Texas — On Sunday, approximately 30 vendors came together for the Quinceanera, Wedding and Event Expo, where they provided attendees with information, samples and giveaways.

According to organizers and local business owners, Cynthia Diego and Christi Marquez, they decided to have the expo to help event planners who were affected as a result of the coronavirus.

"A lot of businesses just started and we are helping them expand," Marquez said. "We are going to help them all year, not just today."

The vendors included real estate agents, bakeries, venues, piñatas, DJs massage therapists, as well as hair and make-up, to name a few.

Andrea Carson's friend is getting married in October and they are in the planning stages. The cake tasting and the chocolate fountain booth were their favorites, according to Carson.

Marisol Benber was at the event because she is planning her daughter's quinceanera for next year.

According to Benber, the mariachi was her favorite. She also liked the chocolate fountain, make-up and massage booths.

In addition to food samples and information, attendees had the opportunity to win a honeymoon to Las Vegas, a quinceanera or wedding. Vendors also had giveaways which included gift cards and tickets to events.

The organizers plan to make this an annual event. "Next year we are going to do this event in February," Marquez said "We’re hoping to get these same vendors again plus more."
