San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts hosting virtual Family Day for the Dogs

Families can participate at home by picking up activity kits from the museum.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts will host Family Day for the Dogs online from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10 at 1 Love St.

According to a SAMFA press release, because of health and safety regulations, Family Day will be hosted online.

Activity kits can be picked up at the museum's main entrance beginning at 10 a.m. to noon. The kits include information about animals at Concho Valley PAWS, a dog treat recipe, a cookie cutter for dogs, clay to make an animal paw print and several other pet-related art activities.

The release also said SAMFA online content will include a virtual tour from a dog’s point of view, the tour guide will be certified therapy dog named Bucky.

Attendees should drive up to the circle driveway to the main entrance of the museum, where it says Art Museum, where education staff will bring the kits to the vehicles.
