ABILENE, Texas — Life Church in Abilene is offering a free series of classes called, ‘making cents.’ Classes kicked off last Tuesday night, with couponing for beginners.
This week, over 50 people called in to attend the session.
"This kind of is a gateway into money management, budgeting, and helping families, but more importantly, the holidays are coming up and so we want to help people save money where they can,” Life Church business administrator, Jamie Jimenez said.
A presentation was given by a local couponer. There are also apps you can download.
"Walgreens has an app, you can just go onto their website or just download it on your phone…you put in your phone number once you are a rewards member, and those coupons automatically show out when you're at the register," Jimenez said.
The classes are free and are held every Tuesday night from 6 p.m. -7:30 p.m. at Life Church.
