ABILENE, Texas — A former Abilene Police Department officer has been arrested on what the APD says involves an incident where a current APD officer is the victim.
According to the Abilene Police Department, it was made aware of the arrest Friday of former police officer Thaddeus Jason Haak.
The Texas Department of Public Safety - Texas Ranger Division conducted the investigation. The arrest involves charges related to an incident where a current member of the department is a victim in the investigation. The APD said it will provide all appropriate support to its employee.
"The allegations against Mr. Haak are disturbing. The Department thanks the Texas Ranger Division for their independent investigation of the incident. Due to this being their investigation, all questions pertaining to the charges and arrest should be directed to the Department of Public Safety," a release from the department said Friday.
