Man arrested in connection to mother found dead inside a San Angelo dumpster

30-year-old Andres Ramirez was booked into the Tom Green County jail just after 10:00 Wednesday night, KIDY can confirm.

UPDATE (3/22/2018): The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office has released preliminary autopsy results for Camille Garica. They tell us the South Plains Forensic Pathology lab in Lubbock, Texas has ruled the cause of death to be a single gunshot wound.

The murder suspect, Andres Rios Ramirez, became a person of interest after investigators with the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office received several leads and conducted interviews. Ramirez was arrested after Deputy Grayson Heirs pulled him over for a traffic violation on the Southside of San Angelo. Deputy Heirs then found a loaded pistol in Ramirez's car. Ramirez was questioned by Investigators Andrew Alwine and Corey Speck and confessed to the murder.

An search warrant was then obtained for a home located at 629 Antonio Street in San Angelo. Officials say they found evidence to further establish the murder happened at that residence.

The Sheriff's Office says they are thankful for all the leads and tips they received from the public.
