UPDATE: Suspect wanted in connection to the Juan Quintana homicide investigation transferred to TGC Jail

SAN ANGELO, Texas — UPDATE (4:15 p.m. Dec. 4): Abel Rueda, 31, the suspect charged with murder in connection to the Oct. 24, 2020, Juan Victorio Quintana homicide investigation, has been transferred to the Tom Green County Jail.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, investigators obtained a warrant of arrest for Rueda in early November. He has been incarcerated in the Howard County Jail on unrelated charges until Friday’s transfer.

Police are still searching for Rueda’s girlfriend, Wendy McCluskey, 29, who is needed for questioning. McCluskey currently has an out-of-county warrant of arrest for tampering with evidence.

She has ties to San Angelo, Midland, Odessa, Big Spring and Andrews.

UPDATE: (6:15 p.m. Oct. 24):  San Angelo PD is asking for help in identifying two additional persons of interest regarding the East 20th Street homicide investigation.

SAPD is asking anyone who can identify the persons of interest to contact the department at 325-657-4315.

UPDATE (4 p.m. Oct. 24):  According to an SAPD Facebook post, the three persons of interest have been identified.

The San Angelo Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division is investigating a homicide that occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. Saturday in the 600 block of East 20th Street.

According to an SAPD press release, the shooting victim, Juan V. Quintana, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Susan Werner.

Anyone with information about this incident, or the identity of the suspect(s), is asked to contact the San Angelo Police Department at 325-657-4315.
