SAPD investigating early morning hit-and-run

A woman was hit early Sunday morning in downtown San Angelo. SAPD is still looking for a suspect.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — San Angelo Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run early, Sunday. 

When officers arrived on scene around 12:30 a.m., they found a woman lying on the ground near the intersection of Chadbourne St., and Twohig Avenue.

Sgt. Daniel Williams with SAPD confirms the female victim was conscious when medical personnel rushed her to a nearby hospital. 

During their initial investigation, passerby’s were not able to solidify a detailed vehicle description. 

SAPD’s hit-and-run investigator arrived on scene around 1:08 a.m., to further the investigation.
