SUTTON COUNTY, Texas — A Sutton County Sheriff's Office deputy attempted to make a traffic stop at approximately 8:15 a.m. Saturday 13 miles south of Highway 277, approximately a quarte of a mile south of Cusenbury Road.
According to a SCSO Facebook post, as the deputy tried to make the stop, six undocumented immigrants fled the vehcile.
The vehicle continued through a ranches fence before the driver fled from the vehicle and deputy.
The area was extensively search with the help of the Department of Public Safety, Sonora Police Department and multiple deputies.
Three of the seven people were arrested, however four undocumented immigrants remain at a large, according to the post.
The SCSO asks residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to its department.
