Woman arrested on narcotics distribution charge following search of residence

A 56-year-old San Angelo woman was arrested after a search of her home turned up suspected methamphetamine.

Members of the San Angelo Police Department’s Street Crimes Division arrested Debbie Adkins, 56, for first-degree felony manufacture delivery of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, following a search of her residence Thursday.

SCD investigators developed probable cause to believe Adkins was trafficking methamphetamine in the community. A search warrant, issued by District Judge Carmen Dusek, was executed at a residence in the 500 block of East 18th Street, according to a press release from the SAPD.

Adkins was found inside the residence and detained during the search, where investigators located and seized approximately two ounces of suspected methamphetamine, a quantity of narcotic distribution paraphernalia and cash.

Members of the department’s Patrol and Lake divisions, Motors and K9 units, and the Center for Tactical Medicine assisted with Thursday’s warrant operation.
