SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo Police Department is investigating an apparent drive-by shooting that happened Thursday night in the 900 block of E. 20th Street.
Units were dispatched around 11:35 PM for reports of a shooting victim. Officers were directed to a passenger car where they located a 42-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to Shannon Medical Center where he received treatment for his non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation revealed the victim was an unintended victim of an apparent drive-by shooting, which is believed to be gang-related. The suspects were reportedly driving a dark-colored pickup truck. The shooter was described as a young Hispanic male.
