Angelo State expects a record number of students enrolled at the university this upcoming school year.

ASU President Doctor Brian May spoke at the University Update Luncheon on Thursday afternoon, expressing his excitement about the growth.

Dr. May announced he expects over 10,000 students enrolled in fall of 2017 – and more students than ever are expected to live on campus.

“We don’t want to stop. It’s an ever-increasing process and with our new capacity, we’re bursting through the seams and we look for the next level every time we reach the next one,” Dr. May said.

Some of the new additions include engineering labs, a health and human services building, a new dorm building and a $2 million greenhouse for biology.
