Angelo State's business degree programs earn ACBSP reaffirmation on accreditation

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Angelo State University’s business degree programs, offered through the Norris-Vincent College of Business, have been reaffirmed for accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs Baccalaureate/Graduate Board of Commissioners.

ACBSP accreditation certifies that the teaching and learning processes for the programs offered through ASU’s Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance and Department of Management and Marketing meet its educational standards.

Universities are required to go through the reaffirmation process every 10 years to maintain accreditation. ASU will receive its certificate of reaffirmation of accreditation at the ACBSP Conference 2020 June 28 in Chicago.

"We are honored that the ACBSP Board of Commissioners has reaffirmed the accreditation of our business programs at ASU,” Dr. Clifton T. Jones, dean of the Norris-Vincent College of Business, said. “This is a reflection of the consistent efforts of our excellent faculty and professional staff to provide a high-quality business education to all of our students.”

Dr. Steve Parscale, ACBSP chief accreditation officer, said, “Angelo State University has shown its commitment to teaching excellence and to the process of quality improvement by participating in the accreditation process. This reaffirmation of accreditation is evidence that Angelo State is committed to maintaining the highest quality business education for their students for the next 10 years, just as they have done for nearly three decades.”

ASU was one of the first universities to achieve ACBSP accreditation in 1992.

Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in accounting

B.B.A. in economics

B.B.A. in finance

B.B.A. in management

B.B.A. in marketing

B.B.A. in international business

B.B.A. in management information systems

Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in management

M.B.A. with specialization in healthcare management

Master of Public Accounting (M.P.Ac.)
