BRADY, Texas — The Brady Independent School District announced Friday Brady High School will be transitioning to remote learning effective Saturday, Feb. 6.

According to a BISD press release posted on its Facebook, the decision was made in response to the escalation of both confirmed positive and quarantined and staff and students at Brady High School.

High school students will return to school Tuesday, Feb. 16. There will be no extracurricular activities or practices allowed during the 10-day period.

This will allow us to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus, as well as thoroughly clean the Brady High School campus, the release said.

Brady Elementary and Brady Middle schools will not be affected by the decision, according to the post. The elementary and middle schools will continue in-person learning and participate in extracurricular activities as normal.

BISD would like to continue normal operations throughout the spring but also keep the health and safety of its staff and students a priority, the release said.
