Texas educators, schools could win a share of $100,000 from H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards

TEXAS, USA — The H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards is giving away $100,000  in celebration of its 20 years of impact. 

According to an Excellence in Education Awards press release, public school teachers, principals and school districts, as well as private or public early childhood education centers can enter-to-win a share of the prize.

Winners will be randomly selected and the prize will be divided as follows:

  • One public school will receive $20,000.
  • One childhood education center will receive $10,000.
  • The remaining $70,000 will be divided among teachers and principals.

Teachers and principals will need to provide a Texas Education Agency (TEA) identification number to be eligible to win, the release said.

The deadline to enter is at 11:59 p.m. May 4. Winners will be announced May 8 during the Virtual Tribute to Texas Teachers event.
