San Angelo Independent School District will start to serve free meals to all children through the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year.

With the extension of federal funds, all children are eligible for free school meals regardless of income.

While families are not required to pay for meals this school year, SAISD encourages families to fill out and complete the application for free and reduced lunches by Monday, Nov. 9.

By completing the application, it can direct federal and state dollars to the schools and provide resources that impact learning.

Additional resources may include: food security for families from the Concho Valley Regional Food Bank’s Food2Kids, materials used for school, discounted fees for student testing and much more.

For information on eligibility, contact the Child Nutrition Department at 325-659-3615 and apply at schoolcafe.com
