Escaping PTSD

U.S. Army veteran, Aaron Groder, served his country to try to save lives, instead of take them. During his service, he experienced things that haunt him and take his mind to a sometimes dark place.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Each combat veteran handles and processes their post-traumatic stress disorder in their own way. For Groder, retreating to his shop to create things with wood, is his way of coping with the memories – to keep his mind occupied.

Groder hopes that by telling his story, he may help others find a way to deal with their own PTSD.
