It's medieval fighting in modern times.

The San Angelo Ironclad is a full-contact, full-steel fighting group.

They're part of an organization that competes across the United States.

"We have rankings just like they do in boxing, MMA or basketball we compete locally and if we do well there we can compete in nationals and if we do well there we can compete internationally," Anton Zemlock III, president of the San Angelo Ironclad chapter, said.

The chapter meets 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays at the field of the West Library branch in San Angelo.
