One thousand reasons to Google…Google. Shares of Google’s parent company, Alphabet, crossed and closed above $1,000 for the first time ever on Monday. If you recall, another tech giant, Amazon, crossed the same milestone last week.

No milestone for the overall stock market on Monday though. The Dow, NASDAQ and S&P 500 all finished lower after closing at all-time highs on Friday.

A cautious outlook for our financial future: the National Association for Business Economists is slightly lowering its forecast for economic growth for this year and next ear. And if you’re looking for a strong economy right now, you might want to head west. That’s because a new report from WalletHub just named Washington the state with the best economy. The number of high-paying high-tech jobs helped put it on top of the list.
