In this #FitWithFox #AmpedUp, we’ve got a look at a new workout being offered at a local gym — Grit — and what makes it different from the rest.

Most classes last an hour.

“It is very intense and it is very challenging.”

“Intended to get fit people fitter.”

“It’s awesome.”

This one is just 30 minutes.

“There’s no way to go for more than 30 minutes. By the end of that 30 minutes, you’re just giving every ounce of strength you have,” Courtney Adams, a Grit participant, said.

“You get in, you get out and you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh, what just happened?’” Verba Pape, another Grit particpant, said.

Kevin Connor, the instructor, showed me some of the exercises — and even for someone in shape, they weren’t easy!

These are double jack push-ups. The goal is to move as fast as you can — challenging, to say the least.

“There’s always modifications,” Adams said.

But Grit isn’t for everyone. If it’s not for you, Connor just encourages you to get moving.

“Find something you like to do,” Connor said.

However, if this fast-paced, intense class looks appealing, the good news is you can knock it out fairly quickly.
