ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Public Health District confirmed the 44th COVID-19-related death Saturday afternoon.
The patient was a woman in her 80s, with pre-existing health conditions.
The health district also reported 24 new confirmed cases - seven PCR and 17 antigen.
Additionally, 17 new recoveries were reported, bringing the number of total recoveries to 2,180.
Twenty current hospitalizations were reported.
Fourteen-thousand-one-hundred-twenty-one PCR and 10,633 antigen tests have been administered in Taylor County. Of those tests, 1,405 PCR and 1,234 antigen tests have been confirmed cases.
There have been 12,716 PCR and 9,399 antigen tests that had negative results.
