Sixty-second COVID-19-related death confirmed in Taylor Co. Friday

ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District confirmed the 62nd COVID-19-related death - a woman in her 20s with pre-existing health conditions - in Taylor County Friday.

The health district reported 61 newly-confirmed COVID-19 cases - 10 PCR and 51 antigen.

Twenty-three new recoveries were also reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,783.

Additionally, 34 current hospitalizations were included in the report.

Taylor County has administered 18,825 PCR and 19,524  antigen tests. Of those tests, 1,728 PCR and 1,992 antigen tests were confirmed cases.

There were 17,097 negative PCR and 17,532 negative antigen test results reported.
