Taylor Co. COVID-19-related deaths increase to 68 Saturday

ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District confirmed the two additional COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County Saturday.

The patients were a woman in her 60s with pre-existing health conditions and the second patient was a woman in her 60s. It was unknown if the second patient had pre-existing conditions at the time of the release.

The new deaths bring the total number of COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County to 68.

The health district also reported 113 new confirmed COVID-19 cases - 83 PCR and 30 antigen.

Eighteen recoveries were included in the report, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,990.

Eighteen current hospitalizations were included in the report.

Taylor County has administered 19,721 PCR and 22,002 antigen tests, of which, 1,944 PCR and 2,214 antigen tests were confirmed cases.

There were 17,777 negative PCR and 19,7888 antigen test results reported.
