Seven new cases of COVID-19 reported in Tom Green County, 32 total

Seven new cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed by the City of San Angelo. Thursday morning, the City reported the first death related to the virus.

TOM GREEN COUNTY, Texas — The latest report from the City of San Angelo's Public Information Office says there are seven new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Tom Green County.

The new cases include:

- Male in his 60s, exposure to known case
- Male in his 40s, exposure to known case
- Teenage male, exposure to known case
- Young boy, community spread

- Female in her 30s, exposure to known case
- Preteen female, exposure to known case
- Teenage male, exposure to known case

Early Thursday, the City reported the first COVID-19 related death, a man in his 70s, who died at Shannon Medical Center. The patient had multiple underlying medical conditions. His death is the first death of a patient with COVID-19 to be confirmed in the area.
