ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District confirmed the 70th COVID-19-related death - a woman in her 80s with pre-existing health conditions - in Taylor County Wednesday.
The health district reported 67 new confirmed COVID-19 cases - 17 PCR and 50 antigen.
Thirty-one recoveries were also reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 3,074.
Thirty-seven current hospitalizations were included in the report.
Taylor County has administered 20,146 PCR and 23,911 antigen tests. Of those tests, 2,114 PCR and 2,304 antigen tests were confirmed cases.
There were 18,032 negative PCR and 21,607 antigen test results reported.
