ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District confirmed the 61st COVID-19-related death - a man in his 70s with pre-existing health conditions - in Taylor County Saturday.
The health district reported 50 newly-confirmed COVID-19 cases - eight PCR and 42 antigen.
Thirteen recoveries were also reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,683.
Twenty-one current hospitalizations were included in the report.
Taylor County has administered 17,172 PCR and 17,633 antigen tests. Of those tests, 1,625 PCR and 1,778 antigen tests were confirmed cases.
There were 15,547 negative PCR and 15,855 antigen test results reported.
