ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District confirmed two additional COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County Thursday. The new deaths bring the total number of deaths to 72.
The patients were a woman in her 50s with pre-existing health conditions and a woman in her 60s with pre-existing health conditions.
The health district said there were 94 new confirmed COVID-19 cases - 78 PCR and 16 antigen.
Thirty-six recoveries were also reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 3,112.
Forty current hospitalizations were included in the report.
Taylor County has administered 20,245 PCR and 24,124 antigen tests. Of those tests, 2,192 PCR and 2,320 antigen tests were confirmed cases.
There were 18,053 negative PCR and 21,804 antigen test results reported.
