ABILENE, Texas — The number of COVID-19 cases continues to increase in Abilene and Taylor County with the Abilene-Taylor Public Health District reporting 40 newly-confirmed COVID-19 cases Friday.
There have been 8,795 tests administered in Taylor County. Of those tests, 486 have been confirmed cases.
The health district also reported one new recovery bringing the number of active cases to 180, with 23 current hospitalizations.
The health district is working to include antigen testing results in its daily reporting and has identified 107 positive COVID-19 cases through antigen testing as of June 25.
