Taylor Co. COVID-19-related deaths increase to 60 Thursday

Fifty-four newly-confirmed cases were also reported.

ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District confirmed the 60th COVID-19-related death in Taylor County Thursday.

The patient was a man in his 70s. No other information about the patient was available at the time of the release.

The health district also reported 54 new confirmed COVID-19 cases - 16 PCR and 38 antigen.

Eleven recoveries were reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,645.

Twenty-seven current hospitalizations were included in the report.

Taylor County has administered 17,054 PCR and 16,964 antigen tests. Of those tests, 1,595 PCR and 1,688 antigen tests were confirmed cases.

There were 15,459 negative PCR and 15,276 antigen test results reported.
