According to variety, three-time Oscar-winning actor Daniel Day-Lewis is retiring from acting. The 60-year-old star released a statement that offered no specific reason for his decision. He recently wrapped a fashion-themed drama with director Paul Thomas Anderson that’s scheduled to be released next year.

Bruce Springsteen is planning an eight-week residency this November on Broadway. He will play five shows a week at the 975-seat Walter Kerr Theatre. There is speculation that this could be a precursor for a potential Broadway musical based on his recent memoir Born to Run.

Ron Howard will be replacing directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller on the Han Solo Star Wars spinoff film. It is slated for a May 2018 release.
