A video posted on the San Angelo Police Department's Facebook page shows two men caught on camera attempting to rob a home.

But who are these men?

As authorities investigate the crime they're also asking for the public's help in any information by submitting tips online or via phone.

As more and more homeowners use video security systems it's helping authorities solve crimes.

"We really rely a lot on the citizens and the community to submit those tips and submit information that the officers may not be privy to if they're not around," Laura Mantay, San Angelo Crime Stoppers, said.

Dozens of crime related tips are submitted daily said Mantay. Whether they're home video security systems or anonymous tips by residents.

"We do get a lot of information, throughout the day I probably get five or six phone calls and we have a tip line that gets quite a few," she said. "I work about 20 tips a day."

Mantay said there are multiple ways to report anonymous tips.

"You can get P3 Tips," Mantay said. "It's an app that we have for our phones, so if they're submitting a tip, let's just say on a neighbor, they can resend information, let's say something new happens or something new develops they can send that information using the app or the tip number that we give them."

Meanwhile if you see something, say something.

"You got to look out for everybody," she said. "You would want them to report it if they saw something happen to you so do the same for them."
