Mason, TX — If you're an athlete from a small town, chances are you play more than one sport. That's certainly the case in Mason, TX. However, second year head softball coach, Billy Todd is still adjusting to that. The Mason softball team started the season late because most of the squad played on the state tournament basketball team. They were only able to play four pre-district games because of it. Now, just 15 games into the season, the squad is sitting on a 12-3 record and on their way to a district championship. The Cowgirls have a first round bye and are looking to be well rested heading into the playoffs.
