SAN ANGELO, Texas — Angelo State University's Department of Computer Science will host its annual ASU Code Camp for junior high and high school students July 5-16.
The course will be conducted virtually using Khan Academy online resources.
Camp participants will collaborate with the instructors in hands-on programming, including a variety of topics, challenges and projects.
Instruction will take place through daily online video conference sessions that will run Monday through Friday, July 5-9 and 12-16, on the following schedule:
- 10 a.m. - noon
- 1-3 p.m.
- 3-5 p.m.
Although not mandatory, participation in all the sessions is highly recommended.
In addition to leading the camp projects, instructors will be available to assist participants with questions and help them trouble shoot as they learn to solve problems and program independently.
Technology required to participate includes a personal computer or laptop and internet access. An ASU Code Camp Certificate will be emailed to each participant at the end of the camp.
