The City of San Angelo was recognized over the weekend for its production of “Blessed,” a video spotlighting Water Distribution Crew Chief Ruben Salgado and the work behind the City’s water distribution department.

City Public Information Officer Brian Groves, who produced the video, accepted a Lone Star EMMY Saturday at the award ceremony in Arlington.

The video was one of five finalists in the "Community/Public Service – Single Spot/Campaign" category. A production featuring San Angelo Police Department’s Officer Marius Cobbs was also among the finalists in this category.

Both videos can be found on the City’s YouTube channel and SATV (Suddenlink channel 17).

This is the second time the City of San Angelo has been awarded a Lone Star EMMY.

The Lone Star Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences serves all 19 television markets in Texas. The academy recognizes excellence in the television industry with the award.
