Division 1 PRCA Xtreme Bulls event added to the 2020 San Angelo Rodeo

The San Angelo Rodeo for 2020 just got a little more exciting with the edition of the PRCA Xtreme Bulls competition to the mix for February.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The San Angelo Rodeo announced Friday it will host a Division 1 PRCA Xtreme Bulls event at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, 2019.

The event will feature the top 30 ranked bull riders in the nation with the top 10 contestants progressing to a finals round. This will be in addition to the 12 rodeo performances held each year and one of only nine events on the Xtreme Bulls Division 1 tour.

The Division 1 classification awards a minimum of $20,000 in prize money, drawing the top contestants in the nation, according to a press release from the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo. The title sponsorship for the event will be Sonora Bank.

“Sonora Bank has a long history of supporting the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo through our sponsorship of the Mutton Bustin’ event. We are proud and excited to expand that partnership with PRCA Xtreme Bulls—Presented by Sonora Bank,” Bob Malone, chairman, president and CEO of Sonora Bank, said. “With deep roots in the San Angelo community, we are honored to support an organization that does so much for the youth of West Texas.”

Tickets will be available with all other 2020 Rodeo tickets at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3 at the Foster Communications Coliseum box office and online at sanangelorodeo.com.
