Fairmount staff to clean cemetery grounds

Families who wish to have items on gravesites preserved should remove them by July 10. They can be returned July 31.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Fairmount Cemetery staff will clean the grounds, 1100 W. Avenue N, Wednesday, July 15, removing flowers and other items from graves, so the property can be cleaned and trimmed.

According to a press release from the City of San Angelo, those who want to preserve items should remove them from gravesites before the end of the day Friday, July 10.

Items can be returned to the cemetery, beginning Friday, July 31.

Items left at gravesites will be picked up and held for one week so residents can pick them up. If items are not picked up, the City will dispose of them beginning Friday, July 31.

Lot owners are reminded that flowers should be placed only to the sides or in cradles on top of monuments, allowing for maintenance of gravesites.
